Welcome to The Idylle Company


Here we are. The first article on The Idylle Company. Exciting? Beyond exciting! This feels amazing! I want to share with you what idylle means to us and the exciting things we have in store to share with the world. 


Idylle is defined as the relationship, actions etc of people who are in love. We believe idylle can also be indicative of the love you have for yourself and /or your personal relationship with yourself. These last few relationships were rough ones with love. Whew, Ha!  After my last relationship, I made a conscious decision to be alone and learn more about myself. Once I understand that idylle with myself, * chefs kiss* . In learning myself, falling, restarting, growing, and healing, this is one of the reasons The Idylle Company was created.


I began to write, explore and learn. These articles will highlight so many different things I learned over the journey; not only from self love itself, but to surrounding yourself with love. We plan to showcase some amazing writers, collaborate with different creatives, and create a space where we can explore and learn. 


The Topic of the Day: Self Love 


You must know self-love is essential for a healthy and happy life. When you love yourself, you are more likely to make choices that are good for you. You are more likely to set healthy boundaries and to stand up for yourself. You are also more likely to be happy and confident in yourself. We will go in detail in future articles but here are few starters to truly understand self love

  1. Be kind to yourself. Talk to yourself in a positive and respectful way. The journey is not perfect. There will be times where you fall, Treat yourself with kindness and compassion. 
  1. Accept your flaws. Don't dwell on your mistakes or imperfections. Instead, focus on your strengths and the things that make you unique. This is what makes you, YOU!
  1. Set boundaries- It is important to set boundaries not only with others but yourself as well. These are those habits and patterns you want to change. Ensure you understand your limits.  
  1. Spend time with people who love you- Surround yourself with people who make you feel good about yourself. These people will help you to see your own worth.
  2. Do things that make you happy- Make time for activities that you enjoy and that make you feel good. Consider  outings  like solo dates and in home activities, like  changing your personal space and redecorating.
