Candle Care and Safety Tips

1. Trim the Wick Before Each Burn:
To ensure a clean and efficient burn, always trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch before lighting your candle. This helps prevent the flame from becoming too large, which could lead to soot buildup or excessive heat. Trimming the wick also helps avoid "tunneling," where the candle burns down the center, leaving a ring of unused wax on the sides of the container.

2. Burn Your Candle on a Flat, Level, and Fire-Resistant Surface:
Always burn your candle on a flat, stable surface that is heat-resistant. This helps to ensure an even burn and prevents any risk of tipping over. Never place candles near flammable materials such as curtains or paper, and never leave a burning candle unattended.

3. Burn Your Candle All the Way to the Edges:
For best results, allow your candle to burn long enough that the melted wax pool reaches the edges of the container during each burn. This helps prevent tunneling and maximizes the life of your candle. A typical burn time to achieve this is 1.5-2 hours, depending on the size of the candle.

4. Do Not Burn for More than 3 Hours at a Time:
For safety and optimal performance, avoid burning a candle for more than 3 hours at a time. After this time, the candle may become too hot, and the wick could start to create an uneven or oversized flame. If you want to enjoy different scents, you can alternate with complementary candles to create a layered fragrance experience.

5. Stop Burning When 1/4 Inch of Wax Remains:
For your safety, and to avoid overheating the container, we recommend stopping use when approximately 1/4 inch of wax remains at the bottom. Continuing to burn a candle with little wax left can cause the container to overheat and potentially crack or shatter.

6. Extinguish Your Candle Safely Using a Snuffer or Wick Dipper:
To safely extinguish the flame and prevent smoke, we recommend using a candle snuffer or wick dipper. These tools help put out the flame without splashing hot wax or causing the wick to smolder. Avoid blowing the candle out as it can cause the wax to splatter or result in a smoky flame.

7. Keep the Lid on When Not in Use:
To preserve the fragrance throw (how strongly the candle scents the room), always put the lid on the candle when it's not in use. This helps keep the fragrance oils fresh and prevents dust or debris from settling on the wax surface. Additionally, covering the candle between uses will help prevent the wax from drying out or discoloring.

Important Safety Reminder:
Please be sure to read and follow the warning label on your candle for additional safety instructions and precautions. Always use candles responsibly to create a safe and enjoyable atmosphere in your home.
